Do you accept insurance?

Justin Perry LMFT is private pay only and does not bill insurance directly. Upon request, a superbill can be provided — an itemized receipt you can submit to your insurance provider for potential out-of-network reimbursement. It is recommended to call the member services number on the back of your insurance card and ask about your out-of-network mental health benefits before your first session.

What are your therapy rates?

The initial intake session is $225. All follow-up sessions are $175. Evening appointment times are available for those who cannot attend during regular business hours.

Do you offer telehealth or in-person sessions?

Accepted Answer

Both options are available. In-person sessions are held at the office in Katy, TX at 23501 Cinco Ranch Blvd, Suite G270. Telehealth sessions are conducted via a secure, HIPAA-compliant video platform and are available to clients located anywhere in Texas.

What happens in the first therapy session?

The first 2–3 sessions are focused on getting to know you and understanding what brought you to therapy. There is no pressure to share more than you are comfortable with. Questions will be asked to get a full picture of your situation, history, and goals, and together we will start building a treatment plan tailored to you. Most people leave the first session feeling heard and with a clearer sense of what the path forward looks like.

How long does therapy typically take?

Accepted Answer

On average, therapy takes around six months. The timeline depends on factors including session frequency, the complexity of the presenting concerns, and engagement between sessions. Some clients reach their goals in a few months; others benefit from longer-term work. The goal is for clients not to need therapy indefinitely — once goals are met and gains are stable, therapy concludes.

Question 6

Am I required to commit to a certain number of sessions?

Accepted Answer

No. You can discontinue therapy at any time. There is no minimum session commitment required. That said, meaningful change rarely happens in one or two sessions — honest guidance will be provided about what a realistic timeline looks like for your specific situation.

Question 7

What if my partner is reluctant to come to couples therapy?

Accepted Answer

Reluctance is very common and usually stems from fear — of being blamed, of having to relive painful moments, or simply of the unknown. If your partner is hesitant, a good first step is framing the first session as a chance to be heard rather than a commitment to a long process. A free 10-minute consultation is available where your partner can ask questions before deciding. In the meantime, individual therapy can still be a productive starting point.
